Occupy has transformed public opinion from one of beaten down wretches accepting their next whipping from their masters, to a population that is now talking about inequality and the need for reform. No group on the left accomplished that - but a group of people coming together en mass did. That is something indeed and lays the basis for the next stage of the struggle. It is always a mistake to sneer at a popular movement.Larry Gambonehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04965037776214596919noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-11635675.post-2882256409631597102011-11-27T16:15:03.194-08:002011-11-27T16:15:03.194-08:00Such an idealist and a dreamer. Perhaps strong leadership and reasonable demands will help change things on a local level.

Imagine a community that believes in buying local and eating local food such as a locavore movement. That will really piss off the corporations when people start keeping their money in the community.

Get organized and get your shit together and perhaps something will be accomplished. As I see it now the occupy movement has done little to satisfy the court of public opinion.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
